On-board dress code
The atmosphere on board is one of relaxed refinement. We are sensitive to the varying wardrobe needs of passengers on long journeys and from different national backgrounds, and wish our guests to be comfortable at all times. During the day, dress for relaxed comfort as you move about the train and embark on excursions. We recommend light cotton clothing for sightseeing. We ask that you respect local cultures by wearing appropriate clothing when visiting religious sites. Evenings call for smart-casual attire with a touch of understated elegance, and we suggest gentlemen wear a jacket for dinner.
Luggage allowance & handling
Due to space constraints, luggage is limited per passenger to one piece of hand luggage, one suit carrier or overnight bag (kept with you in your cabin), and one suitcase checked through for storage in the baggage car — which is not accessible until you reach your final destination. All luggage stored in the baggage car should be locked. Valuables, cash and any other precious items should not be placed in the stored baggage — keep them in your cabin's safe box or with you at all times as hand luggage. On arrival at your destination, please make sure you have correctly identified your own luggage before leaving the station.
